Germany Team Visit Church in Chemnitz

After arriving in Berlin, the Germany team travelled to Chemnitz. On Sunday the team attended the worship service at the FeG church with Pastor Bernard. The service was followed by a luncheon with the entire congregation. After that, the team was invited to coffee and dessert at the home of Hiko and Katherine Cramer, who are members. Several others from the church also came for a time of fellowship - this event was very important because their invitation gave the team an opportunity to get to know people one-on-one, which was a key prayer request prior to leaving. God is working to meld our hearts together!

The day continued with a tour of a local hunting castle from the 1500s (again a perfect opportunity to build relationships with our German brothers and sisters). The team closed the day with prayer and worship.

Monday morning found the team visiting the pastor's home. During this time, Pastor Bernard and his wife shared their vision for the church and some personal prayer requests. After a short time of worship, the team prayed for Pastor Bernard and his wife, Ulrike. The team then travelled with Bermard and Ulrike to visit a potential new building for the congregation and the team spent some time walking and praying through the building, sharing their impressions with Bernard.

Next, we prayer walked the neighborhoods surrounding this new building. The sense of the group during this time was that the Lord is doing some powerful things in that area, preparing the way for the new location. God continued to answer prayer by having one of the key lay leaders contact us for a meeting Monday evening - which was a major answer to prayer. We were able to minister to her and it was a sweet time. God confirmed Two River's calling to partner with the FeG church in Chemnitz.

That the Lord would allow us to be a blessing to these people

Quiet Waters and Prayer for EFCA Lead Team

Our Two Rivers prayer team of 11 traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota where the Reach Global leaders were holding their annual conference.

On Sunday a one day Quiet Waters was held and over 80 leaders from the Free Church mission called Reach Global attended.

During the QW day a team of intercessors prayed back at Two Rivers for the day to be guided by the Lord. Another prayer team joined in from Pennsylvania to lift up those who participated.

The following 3 days after the QW we were able to have 20 minute prayer times with those who signed up for the listening prayer.

Comments from the participants let the prayer team know that our service was very appreciated and the prayers were very encouraging, comforting and strengthening for all who joined in.

These were the top level leaders and many of their spouses from around the globe in Reach Global which is the mission arm of the EFCA. RG reaches out to Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Did You Ever Have A Big Water Problem?

Yesterday we traveled to 3 more villages and had approx. 40 people at a clinic in Santa Elena. Temperature was close to 95F and we baked hard. We were the first white people that many of them had seen and many of the kids rubbed our skin to see if it was dark underneath. Norma's blond hair was also a big hit with kids and adults alike. The village had no electricity and almost no water (except a creek) but we were tremendously blessed to have the opportunity to work there. Harry went through a bag of 250 balloons, making sombreroes, swords, and dogs.

A highlight of the day was when they called a village meeting to discuss water rights. Santa Elena has a spring but not running to homes, whereas the village down the road (Nacimiento) has neither. San. Elena is almost 100% Catholic while Nacimiento is almost 100% evangelical. San. Elena didn't want to share any water with the other village. After a tense hour of bickering, Pastor David was able to negotiate a deal that would allow water to both villages.

Another problem is the language barrier. Most of the people in both villages speak K'Chi and no Spanish. Tough to translate Norma to Spanish to K'Chi to Spanish to Norma.

Today we conducted another clinic in a village accessible only by water. It was another awesome experience and the pastor insisted that we lunch with him - yikes! We had very fresh hen soup and tortillas. After that we travelled down the river to the Carribean and walked around Livingston. The people there speak yet another dialect of Mayan and are very dark skinned. They have a strong culture that reminds one of Bob Marley and the Carribean islands. Another very exhausting but good day.
We're supposed to have dinner with the Rheas tonight and then visit them tomorrow.

Monday in the Villages

Did you know there are people in some Guatemalan villages that have never seen white people? Wow!! Our team had a great day yesterday and visited 3 villages and did a clinic at another. They saw 40 people in the afternoon clinic in one village.

They went to Agua Caliente, Tablitas and Bocaron villages in the morning and did the clinic in the afternoon. These are villages where Pastor David and our partner church CCCG go every month and feed the kids, teach them about health care and share Bible stories with them.

The team also got to pray for the Pastors in each village. It is the desire and heart that David has to train and encourage these pastors who are the gatekeepers for their village. Continue to pray for health and strength as our team gives their heart and hands to these lovely people.

Team Arrives in Rio Dulce, Guatemala

Our team landed safely on Saturday and then hit the road with a full day... seeing the city and then off to church for a meal in the evening with our friends from CCCG. On Sunday morning the team attended church and then headed on the road to the Rio Dulce.

Monday morning the team will visit several projects and in the afternoon do a clinic in one of the villages. They will do some basic health care as one of the team members is a nurse.

These villages are the ones that CCCG serves each month with an outreach team. Their visits consist of health care, feeding the children, Bible stories and games. Pray for health, strength and the love of God to go forth from our team.

March Guatemala Team to Rio Dulce

Our team of 5 is heading to Guatemala on Saturday, March 1-8. Our team will be working alongside of our friends from our partner church the Centro Christiano Cultural Center. The week will include visiting the church for a social gathering on Saturday, worshipping together on Sunday, serving in the feeding program and doing some clinics in villages at the Rio Dulce.

Pray for our team to have safe travel, many opportunities to serve and a heart that says yes to the things God asks them to do. Let's pray for our team to hear from the Lord this week as they will have many ways to serve.

Guatemala Team Returns Home

It was an awesome week of ministry as our team was able to complete their part of the second floor construction phase at the retreat center. Going to another country to do what you know how to do here in the United States is always an adventure and challenge.

The materials and methods may be different in accomplishing the same result. It is always a testimony to the Lord's goodness and ways he matures us when we can work together for a common purpose that is larger than us.

Our team of 9 worked alongside of our Guatemalan friends from the CCCG church we partner with all week. That is special in itself as the language is different but that does not matter as we serve together to expand the kingdom here on earth.

Thanks for remembering our team this week in prayer as they served the Lord in Monterrico.

Working Together To Change Lives

Our team is working hard on the construction of the Retreat Center dormitory. The work is progressing well on the second floor. The weather is hot at the Pacific but clear and they really enjoy the swim in the ocean for their daily break time!!

Sunday the team got to attend the CCCG and worship with our partner church and friends. On Monday morning they had the opportunity to serve in the feeding program and enjoy the kids who came for the bible story, breakfast and to be loved by our friends.

Pray for health, safety and great adventure as they spend this week in Guatemala.

Guatemala Team Prepares to Go

Early Saturday morning, February 2-9, our Two Rivers Team of 9 members will fly down to Guatemala. Our team will be working with our partner church at CCCG. The main purpose of the trip is to continue the work that is already underway on the dormitory for the retreat center.

The retreat or conference center is located in Monterrico at the Pacific Ocean. This center is used for many purposes, one being that of having a place to reach out from in the Pacific region. There are many villages where CCCG partners with the Pastor and begins a feeding program that is used to build a relationship. The goal is to save the younger generation as the church provides a meal in the morning served at the village church. The children are then divided into 3 groups where they are taught bible stories, health care practices and play games. The groups are rotated among these 3 groups in the morning. The CCCG then visits this village on a monthly basis to encourage and train the Pastor.

Will you pray that our team has safety in travel, health for their bodies and a deep sense of the presence of God surrounding all they do?

Europe Team Encouraged by Prayer Team

Sunday in Budapest

Today we worshiped the Lord as a team and then began our time of praying for families and individuals in our 4 teams. The hunger and thirst for the Lord is awesome. The opportunity to pray and bring encouragement and comfort was a privilege for all of our team.

Last night we had a training forum where people could ask questions and then we had a practice session. We were able to add 4 people from the Europe Conference attendees to our prayer teams today. Our desire is to see new people added so our efforts are multiplied. The goal is to see many more people released to bring the good news by way of this prayer ministry.

All Aboard..the Voyage Begins

This is the first gathering of the Europe missionaries under one roof in over a year. Over 400 missionaries and their families have come together for refreshment, equipping and encouragment.

Reach Global has a name change and also some philosophical changes that are being digested by all the missionaries and the leaders during this gathering.This group represents all of the Europe influence for Reach Global.

These precious saints will be spending time in team meetings, general sessions and hopefully have some time to be refreshed. It is very evident to our team that they greatly enjoy time with fellow missionaries who do what they do all over Europe. They have much in common even though their locations are quite different.

Our team is here to serve along with a worship team from Missouri and the children's ministry team from Fellowship Church in Knoxville. Our team is ready to pray for everyone who signs up. Our heart is they will hear from the Father how deep his love is for them and that He knows their name.

Pray for our team to hear from the Lord so we can be used of Him to share of his glorious riches and that all who come will be refreshed by his power and spirit.
